We held our Jubilee Garden Tea Party’ on Saturday 25th June from 14.00 to 16.00, What a really fantastic & incredible day we all had. Certainly, very enjoyable, our VIP Wg Cdr Kenny Wickins & family had a very enjoyable day & certainly represented RAF Cosford. The gardens at the back & around the Melville Club were in full flower & very neat & tidy. We had stalls, our own singer Billy done us a few turn’s & of course the sumptuous afternoon tea: sandwiches, savouries, cakes, tea/coffee. Lots of new faces, bric-a-brac, cakes, raffle, nearly new, we made over £400 profit. Well done everyone, a really enjoyable & we was packed !

Mrs. Niccy Cottle is now holding ‘The Melville Club “Golden Years” every Tuesday from 13.00 to 15.00 for light entertainment & light refreshments. Melville Club Log Cabin: Available.

We currently have a large Log Cabin sited at the Melville Club & we would be approachable to letting Albrighton local groups use it. This Log Cabin was built to help the elderly enjoy different activities & we are concerned that it is at present under used. If you are interested, please ring Richard on 07889 573306.

‘Dr’ Paul Morton 100 Years:  7th August 2022.

The Melville Club pushed the boat out & gave Paul a wonderful 100th Birthday Party. We had a buffet, entertainment, Raffle & a sing along. Paul along with his family really enjoyed themselves & it was such a happy occasion, it just went all so well & everyone was happy, a joy to see the Melville Club serving its members in the best way we can. Thank-you to everyone who made that day so special for Paul.

Citizen Advice Bureau {CAB}: Melville Club Assistance.

Very mindful how important CAB {based in Albrighton Surgery} is to the local community. It has proved a lifeline to so many who have used it. To this end The Melville Club has recently given £3200 to help fund this worthy service. We do have plans on the horizon to support CAB again in the future.
