Well did you all have an enjoyable Christmas & New Year, my, did that go quickly… May I on behalf of our Melville Club Members wish you all a Happy New Year & all the very best for 2023. At the time of writing, I am sure looking back on the last 2 years {21/22}, fingers crossed 2023 pans out OK. From a weather perspective 2022 was quite hard, too hot & now too cold !! Hopefully 2023 will be another interesting & enjoyable year for many of us ~ winter is now here in full throttle, so please be very careful. We will do our very best to keep the Melville Club Flag flying & support our members. Thank-you to all the members for your help, support & encouragement through 2022.
Christmas Meal: 14th December 2022
At the time of going to submission of articles for the Parish Magazine {10th December}. We held our Christmas Lunch in the Melville Club this year. Hopefully all had a great time, there has been a lot of planning to get this off the ground, thank-you to all who helped to make it so successful. We had entertainment, wonderful Christmas meal cooked by the staff, really good fun with plenty of laughter.
Melville Club: Christmas/New Year Closure ~ 14th December 2022 to 5th January 2023
We will close after our Christmas Party on the 14th December 2022 & then reopen on Wednesday the 4th January 2023 for our normal Lunch at 12.30.
Friends of Albrighton: Based at the Melville Club
Mrs. Siobhan Davies is holding ‘Friends of Albrighton with future meeting{s} on the 13th January & 27th January 2023 at 14.00 to 16.00. We offer warm room, Tea/Coffee, cakes etc & activities. Melville Club members & guests most welcome. This facility is for you to enjoy friendship & company.

Melville Club Mini Bus: 15-Seater
We are now the proud owner of a 15-seater mini bus & this mini bus has been purchased to help assist the Melville Club members to get around the village. We are now planning trips for 2023.
Defibrillator
We are now embarking on the purchase of an external Defibrillator {yellow box} & are planning for this to be at the end of the village, near the vicinity of St. Mary’s Magdalene & the Shrewsbury Arms.
Melville Club ~ Golden Years
Mrs. Niccy Cottle is holding ‘The Melville Club “Golden Years” every Tuesday from 13.00 to 15.00 for light entertainment & refreshments. You do not need to be a member of the Melville Club to attend. Interested: ring Niccy on 07449 167116. You never know you may enjoy yourself & meet new friends.
Melville Club Team Work
Big Big Big Big thank-you to all those who help to drive the Melville Club to serve others. We must extend sincere & warm thanks to all the Melville Committee, staff, team of cooks, helpers, delivering meals, cleaning, washing up, collecting food, gardening, it just goes on & on. What a fantastic job they have done for us through 2022, just shows you what can be done when we all pull together ~ thank-you.
