What a wonderful Autumn, so full of vibrant colours. I am always sad as all the trees & plants shedding their leaves, seems like a goodbye when they have served us so faithfully through the summer.

Free Chairs

We have now changed our chairs & the previous Green Chairs are free to anyone who would like any. They are pale green & stackable. We have approx. 70 available:- Ring Richard on 07889 573306.

Christmas Meal: Wednesday 6th December 2023 & Closure/Return Date

We will be holding our Christmas Lunch for the members in the Melville Club this year. Due to our success of membership this year will be a ‘ticket’ only admission due to the seating capacity & catering arrangements. We will also be open on the 13th  December then shut for 2 weeks {20th & 27th} returning on 3rd January 2024. Anyone spending Christmas Day alone:- contact Mandy or Richard.

Stalls for Wednesday:-  29th November 2023

To get you in the mood we will have a few stalls on Lunchtime Wednesday 29th November 2023. We are planning the following:- Craft Christmas Decorations, Chocolates, Cards & White Elephant.

Garage: Space to let

We have a large garage & some space has now become free, if anyone would like to store any items on a short to medium basis at very good rates:- Ring Richard on 07889 573306.

Melville Club Flyer Service

The Melville Club is pleased to announce that agreement has been reached with Shropshire Council to run a Melville Club Flyer Service on a similar basis to that previously operated by the APC.

The Community Transport Scheme facility offers local door to door transport at the existing subsidised fares to registered members on Mondays to Fridays between 09.00 & 16.00hrs. Requests for journeys outside of these timeframes will be considered on an individual basis by the driver Ken:- 07543 869754. Disabled passengers with wheelchairs & electric trollies can be accommodated with the elderly or infirm without their own transport given priority. Membership is free to registered Melville Club members – those aged 55 & above. Alternativity £6 per year for those only wishing to benefit from the Melville Club Flyer Service. Registration forms are available from Ken the driver.

Friends of Albrighton: Based at the Melville Club & Sponsored by ‘Homestead’

Mrs. Siobhan Davies is holding ‘Friends of Albrighton’ with future meeting{s} 3rd November, 17th November & 1st December 14:00 to 16:00. We offer, tea/coffee, cakes etc & activities. Melville Club members & guests welcome. This facility is for you to enjoy: Siobhan {07903 175997}.

‘Golden Years’ in the Melville Club

Mrs. Niccy Cottle is holding ‘The Melville Club “Golden Years” every Tuesday from 13:00 to 15:00 for light entertainment & refreshments. You do not need to be a member of the Melville Club to attend.

Interested: ring Niccy on 07449 167116. You never know you may enjoy yourself & meet new friends.
