The Melville Club was very privileged to receive a visit from Mr. Brian Welti JP, The High Sheriff of Shropshire on the 9th April 2025. He was accompanied by Mrs. Jenny Wynn DL, His Majesty’s Vice Lord-Lieutenant of Shropshire.
Some 80 members of the Melville Club attended to support this honoured visitation. All enjoyed a 3-course lunch & afterwards the High Sheriff expressed his personal thanks & also as the High Sheriff for all the voluntary work the Melville Club is involved in within the local community.
The High Sheriff then presented the Melville Club with an award certificate in recognition of great & valuable services to the Community. This was met with warm acclamation & made all the Melville Club members & volunteer’s glow with pride.
The High Sheriff then briefly explained his role as the High Sheriff of Shropshire, which everyone found extremely interesting.
Well done everyone, a very warm & enjoyable day.
