We’re excited to announce the opening of The Melville Club Shop, a wonderful addition to the Club that not only brings a bit of fun and discovery for our members, but also helps raise vital funds to keep the village safe; we are hoping to get a defibrillator installed near the Shrewsbury Arms.
Our shop is open every Wednesday before the Social Lunch and is filled with pre-loved treasures generously donated by members of the community. You’ll find all sorts of useful and interesting items — from homewares, kitchen gadgets and tools, to books, puzzles, ornaments, and other gently used items. (Please note: we are not accepting clothing donations.)

Help Us Keep the Club Thriving
Every item sold in the shop goes straight back into supporting the village. By donating or shopping with us, you’re directly helping to raise money for a defibrillator in Albrighton.
The success of the Melville Club depends on the support of our amazing community. Thanks to you, we remain a warm and welcoming place for social connection, support, and joy.
What Can You Donate?
We’re always grateful for:
- Homewares (vases, dishes, cutlery, kitchenware)
- Garden tools and small hand tools
- Decorative items and small furniture
- Games, puzzles, and books
- Small appliances (in good working order)
Again, we kindly ask no clothing at this time.
How to Donate
You can drop off donations during any of our opening hours, especially on Wednesdays before lunch. If you have items but need help delivering them, we may be able to arrange a collection — just get in touch.
