Well, I am back to enlighten you with the activities of the Melville Club. Greetings did you all enjoy the recent roasting weather. This summer has been the most bizarre weather for many years.
Melville Club Flyer Service
The Melville Club Community Transport Scheme facility offers local door to door transport at the existing subsidised fares to registered members on Mondays to Fridays between 09.00 & 16.00hrs. Requests for journeys outside of these timeframes will be considered on an individual basis by the driver

Disabled passengers with wheelchairs & electric trollies can be accommodated with the elderly or infirm. Travel is free to registered Melville Club members – those aged 55 & above. £12.00 per year for full membership, alternativity £6 per year for those only wishing to benefit from the Melville Club Flyer Service. Registration forms are available from Ken the driver.

Shop at the Melville Club

We now offer new & second-hand items in our shop [no clothes]. Come along & pick-up a bargain or two. Alternativity, we will also accept any good quality items you may wish to donate,
Melville Club supports a Defibrillator Box at Saxon Park {near Shrewsbury Arms}
The Melville Club shop has now raised £800.00 for a yellow defibrillator box at Saxon Park {next to the Shrewsbury Arms pub}. Big thank-you to Barbara & Dave for running the shop so successfully.
Melville Club Bingo
The Melville Club offers Prize Bingo after the Wednesday Lunch, generally every 3rd Wednesday. If you have any question’s please do not hesitate to ask any Committee Members.
‘Golden Years’ in the Melville Club

Mrs. Niccy Cottle is holding ‘The Melville Club “Golden Years” every Tuesday from 13.00 to 15.00 for light entertainment & refreshments. You do not need to be a member of the Melville Club to attend. Interested: ring Niccy on 07449 167116. You never know you may enjoy yourself & meet new friends.

We had approximately 28 members & public attended. The weather was awful but we were honoured to receive our invited VIP:- Mrs. Jo Bough DL. Jo certainly cheered us all up & we are so pleased with her new preferment. Check out the photos & write-up here.
Sunday Lunch at the Melville Club
Sarah offers a super two-course Sunday Lunch for £11.00 dining in or £10.00 to take out. If you can please book before-hand with Sarah:- Mob 07369 237848, as this does help with the catering.
