We’re delighted to host Friends of Albrighton, a friendly and welcoming afternoon activity group that takes place every other Friday, 2:00–4:00pm, at The Melville Club. Whether you’re a member or a visitor from the local community, this is a lovely opportunity to connect with others, enjoy a cuppa, and have some relaxed fun.

What to Expect
For just £2 per session, you’ll be welcomed into a warm, relaxed atmosphere where there’s always something to enjoy:
- 🧶 Crafts — from knitting to creative projects
- 🧩 Puzzles & games — test your wits or work together
- ☕ Good company and conversation — with plenty of tea and biscuits
This activity is perfect if you’re looking for new friendships, enjoy socialising, or simply want a cosy afternoon out with others. Everyone is welcome — you don’t need to be a member to join in!

Hosted by Siobhan Davies from Home Instead
This group is kindly run by Siobhan Davies of Home Instead, a national home care organisation dedicated to supporting older people to live comfortably, confidently, and with dignity in their own homes. Home Instead provide compassionate, personalised support tailored to the individual — from companionship and help with everyday tasks to specialist care designed to meet each person’s needs. Their ethos is all about meaningful connections and community wellbeing, so partnering with The Melville Club to host Friends of Albrighton fits wonderfully with their mission.
Why It Matters
Many people can feel isolated, especially as the weather gets colder — and that’s precisely why Friends of Albrighton exists. Through simple, enjoyable activities and friendly conversation, we aim to bring people together, reduce loneliness, and build a sense of belonging.
So if you’re looking for something lovely to do on a Friday afternoon, or you know someone who might enjoy meeting new people in a relaxed setting, come along and join us!
