Our events are very popular for those aged 55 and over in Albrighton and the surrounding hamlets. We enjoy bringing together the community for a range of classes, events and days out. Our wonderful team of volunteers help to host, transport and support those in our wonderful village. We work hard to create a welcoming environment and a warm welcome to our purpose-built club.
Let’s stick a cuppa on, and welcome you in to The Melville Club.
Carers Need a Break Too!
If you’re caring for a loved one at home, it’s important to have some time to yourself. You are welcome to drop your loved one at one of our events so that you can take some time for yourself, to see friends or attend to some errands without worry.

Art Class

Join Valerie at the Red House in the centre of Albrighton as we enjoy painting for pleasure on all levels. Each month we have a visiting artist attend to demonstrate and follow up with a workshop.
All forms of art are appreciated, and we love to see new people join the group. Whether you’re a complete beginner, or have dabbled in a form of art before that you’d like to rekindle, you’re most welcome here!

We understand that it’s not always possible to attend our Wednesday Social Lunch in-person due to mobility or health issues.
We offer Meals on Wheels for those that are housebound. Meals delivered Wednesday lunch time.

This activity is open to members and non-members alike.
Join us on Friday afternoons for a mixture of activities including crafts (knitting / sewing / card making), book club, cooking club, gardening club, and history club.
This is a great way to tackle the isolation and boredom throughout the winter months. Join us and bring your friends to this activity group that encourages conversation, testing your knowledge and learning new skills.
We invite you to our warm and cosy Club where you will receive a hot drink and biscuits during your visit.

Sunday Lunch

Everyone’s welcome to our Sunday Lunch event! Members and non-members alike, and all ages too!
Enjoy a two course meal with hot drink for £10.99 if dining in. Alternatively, enjoy a two course meal for £9.99 using our takeaway service.

Stalls for Wednesday 26th November 2025
To get you in the festive mood we will have a few stalls on Lunchtime Wednesday 26th November 2025. We are planning the following:- Craft Christmas Decorations, Chocolates, Cards & White Elephant.
Christmas Meal: Wednesday 17th December 2025
We will be holding a Christmas Lunch for the members in the Melville Club this year. Due to our success of membership this year will be a ‘ticket’ only admission due to the seating capacity & catering arrangements.
Christmas Day lunch – 25th December 2025
We are hosting a four-course Christmas Lunch on Christmas Day from 12:00 – 3:00pm. This will be a ticket-only event at a cost of £25 per person. Enjoy good company, generous homemade authentic Christmas Day food and all the trimmings with the team.
